What you’ll do: 

  • Drive, develop and implement property and land management frameworks for the Operations portfolio to ensure sustainable cost savings, and a fit-for-purpose land and property portfolio that enables the achievement of WaterNSW’s strategic and operational objectives.

  • Provide oversight and strategic direction to Operations WaterNSW’s fleet, plant and equipment management functions, in alignment with the WaterNSW corporate strategy and business needs.

  • Ensure that an effective property, fleet, plant and public safety life-cycle asset management plan and process, policy and procedure is embedded within the business.

  • Provide advise to the Operations SLT on property, fleet, plant and equipment requirements to meet strategic and operational objectives and inform investment and divestment decisions.

  • Oversee the delivery of property, fleet and public safety analytics to support risk-based monitoring of property/ fleet/ plant & equipment utilisation, fit and expenditure, identification and implementation of efficiency opportunities through continuous improvement

  • Collaboratively identify, develop and deliver business cases and projects that upgrade or remediate property, fleet, plant and equipment assets where operational needs, total costs of ownership or risk drivers require investment

What we are looking for:  

  • Relevant degree qualification (e.g. property management, commerce, logistics) or experience deemed equivalent

  • Appropriate property qualifications to Property Council of Australia Membership

  • Advanced knowledge of relevant property legislation, such as Contaminated Land Management Act, Environmental Planning & Assessment Act, Workplace Health and Safety Act, Land Acquisition (Just Terms) Act, Local Government Act, Native Title Act and GIPA, Environmental Planning & Assessment, Heritage Act, Workplace Health and Safety, and Local Government Act

  • Advanced knowledge of legislation, regulations and Australian standards in relation to heavy vehicles, fleet, maritime and logistics, and their relevance, application and implications for utility businesses such as WaterNSW

  • Extensive experience in property and facilities management including experience in working with outsource partners to deliver high quality property and facilities management outcomes 

  • Current NSW Drivers License
