What you’ll do:
Own delivery of agreed outcomes of projects from needs analysis to completion, including recommending and implementing optimal solutions to address the business needs while meeting agreed time, cost and quality objectives and benefits realisation. The role is also responsible for coordination and compilation of key project artefacts such as, business cases, project management plans, schedules (including WBS), specifications etc.
Ensure all project risks and issues are effectively captured, allocated, managed, actioned, retired and reported throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsible for the negotiation and ongoing management of contracts for consulting, construction and any other externally provided services required to enable the delivery of projects. This includes validating and endorsing payment and other claims as well as overall contractor performance.
What we are looking for:
Tertiary Qualification (bachelor level or above) in Project Management or Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) or demonstrated equivalent experience
Experience in Project Management (preferably in asset based projects) and in delivering a portfolio of projects and/or delivery of standalone or portfolio of projects
Experience in assessing safety and other risk exposures and proactively manage these across project lifecycle
High level of analytical and investigative skills and ability to deliver complex dam safety projects in accordance with established safety, engineering and environmental procedures, and to contribute to continuous improvement.
Knowledge of principles and practices of dam design, construction, operation, safety surveillance and maintenance
Strong commercial acumen to identify benefits, opportunities and trade-offs to be made when formulating and executing business cases, project plans and contract negotiation
