Maintenance Engineers - Mechanical & Electrical

Ready to make a splash in your career? WaterNSW is seeking experienced 2x Maintenance Engineers (1x Mechanical and 1x Electrical) (Full time) to join our Operations team. 

In this role, you will be required to apply engineering knowledge and practical experience to technical problems related to assets maintained by the Operations teams. This role requires engineers to form a contextual understanding of how assets operate within systems, work with key stakeholders to understand operational & functional issues and prioritise work based on the needs of the business.

What you’ll do:                               

  • Analyse, manage and prioritise technical issues identified by the Operations teams based on criticality to the business
  • Create internal stakeholder relationships with multiple teams within the business (technical, strategic and operational)
  • Identify issues and scope solutions for asset repairs/upgrades/refurbishments to ensure assets are managed in accordance with WaterNSW objectives and practises
  • Engineering and technical review of projects based on stakeholder requirements and long term operation & maintenance objectives of WaterNSW
  • Develop and improve maintenance plans, ensuring maintenance outcomes are fit for purpose and suitable for the asset
  • Engage in maintenance and project work; ensuring to focus on safe, high quality, fit for purpose solutions which achieve business objectives
  • Participate in continuous improvement relating to the investigation of safety incidents, asset performance, processes and reliability. Ensuring root causes and contributing factors are identified, understood, and related improvements are realised
  • Participate in audits and inspections relating to the condition and operational integrity of assets, to ensure that operation and maintenance issues are identified and asset condition is documented
  • Engage in WaterNSW risk management processes relating to safety, asset & process integrity; ensuring risks are identified, understood, documented, and controlled

 

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Advanced Diploma (or equivalent) or trade certificate in Mechanical/ Electrical, in an appropriate asset management field
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
  • Ability to drive to various sites in the Greater Sydney region
  • Ability to work effectively in teams
  • Highly effective report writing and communication skills
  • Proven competency in the use of Microsoft Office applications
