What you’ll do:
As a Data Engineer, you will prove data driven insights via service and support to the business in relation to its data assets. You will also provide technical support via maintenance of the data assets, including extract, transform and load (ETL) design and maintenance between source systems and the data warehouse.
Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design and build scalable, reliable, and efficient data pipelines and architectures on the Azure platform.
Develop and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, and physical), metadata management, and data cataloguing processes & implement data optimisation methods and scaling of data storage.
Plan and be responsible for the deployment of technology infrastructure and CI/CD data pipelines to store and process large amounts of data to serve analytics models.
Maintain relevant procedures, documentation, monitoring and control of all relevant systems and data to support information governance, integrity, privacy, security, and regulatory requirements, and conduct diagnostic procedures to identify system improvements.
Responsible for designing, coding, testing, and deploying data pipelines for core datasets.
What we are looking for:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, e.g., Bachelor’s degree in a Management Information Systems, Information Technology/Computer Sciences field and relevant intermediate / advanced Azure Data certifications
Demonstrated experience with data management, data warehousing, data modelling and ELT / ETL strategies, modern data pipelines, data streaming, and using real time analytics tools
Experience with Azure Data Warehouse and knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF) for setting up data warehouses on Azure
Experience with technologies such as Power Platform, Synapse, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Purview, Power BI
Knowledge of agile delivery methodologies
