We would like to provide our internal workforce the opportunity to express their interest in the role of Construction Manager for the Rural Flood Recovery Program.
This role will report to Mark Pearson and work closely with the Operations Portfolio.
This is a Full-Time, 12-Months Max Term opportunity, with a potential to extend for a further 6 months.
Salary Range: $131,851 base + super (in accordance to the EA)
Location: Preferred location for the role is Albury, Deniliquin or Leeton. However we are also open to considered having the preferred candidate to be based in any of our Southern NSW offices.
The Role:
Manage project construction activities as the ‘Principal’s representative’ where so nominated for assigned construction Contracts; exercise the Principal’s rights and obligations as delegated in accordance with the Contract as the primary on-site presence for WaterNSW
Provide expert advice on construction related issues with a focus on HSEQ compliance
Assist in the review, development and implementation of HSEQ review documentation
Advise the Project Manager during development of project management plans to ensure the adopted plans are suitable for efficient delivery and implementation of the project works
Review and advise the Project/Contract Manager on constructability of planned works by refence to suitability of the designs, technical specifications, management plans, contracts, work arrangements, programs and risk controls for the project to ensure contract works are conducted according to the required quality standards
What we are looking for:
Relevant Tertiary qualifications (typically Trade or Engineering) or comparable relevant experience
Construction Industry Induction (White Card) & current NSW Drivers License
Site-based experience managing construction activities and contractors including administration of construction contracts
Experience reviewing and interpreting construction documents including management plans, technical reports, works programs, works contracts, technical specifications and engineering drawings
Knowledge of Work Health & Safety Management systems as commonly applied on construction works with experience in monitoring and inspecting works in progress to check for compliance with safety and quality requirements
