Internal Expression of Interest: Water Accounting Specialist

We would like to provide our internal workforce the opportunity to express their interest in the role of Water Accounting Specialist.

This role will report to Sonia Townsend - Team Leader Water Accounting and work within the Customer Services Portfolio. 

This is a Full Time, Permanent opportunity.

Salary Range - starting from Base $108,085 + super

 

The Role:

  • Provide high level customer service to resolve issues, including escalated/complex customer enquiries, in an efficient, timely and accurate manner while providing specialist knowledge to improve customers’ understanding of obligations and options for managing water accounts.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to assist customers in managing their water accounts and contacting customers with multiple WALs and WAs directly to resolve identified issues.
  • Coordinate the resolution of complex customer requests, complaints and queries resulting in effective outcomes for customers.
  • Work collaboratively with other Portfolios across the business to source information and advice to provide prompt response to requests for information to enable effective resolution of larger customer/complex enquiries.
  • Provide support to customers on a wide range of customer transactions such as apportioning and adjustment of customer water usage, reconciling complex orders and options for trading their water as required and process agreed customer submitted data in the appropriate business systems in a timely manner to ensure accurate reporting, account management and billing of water usage.

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • Certificate or diploma level qualification in a Business related field or equivalent experience
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
  • High level of customer service experience
  • Experienced communicator, negotiator, problem solver and networker
  • Experience in building and managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Knowledge and understanding of customer transactions and accounting to support customers in the management of their accounts
  • Working knowledge of larger and complex customers and the concerns and issues they face 
  • Understanding and ability to interpret and balance internal and external business drivers in relation to water management
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
