Location: Parramatta (preferred) or Hunter Hub
  
Salary: Starting from $95,764 base + super
  
Tenure: Full-Time, Term (Up to October 2025) 
  

What we are looking for: 

• A strong desire to contribute your skills and expertise to our business   

• Someone who is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander decent / identifies as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and is accepted as such by the community in which they were born, has lived or currently lives   

• A commitment to promoting and preserving Aboriginal culture and value  

• Be in your final year of study or have graduated recently with a relevant degree in the applied data science, IT, computer science, engineering, or any equivalent field

• Current NSW Drivers Licence

• Able to demonstrate and have experience in analysing and visualising multi-dimensional large datasets, using Python or R language

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Understanding and working knowledge of the Microsoft online platforms (e.g. OneDrive, Sharepoint, Teams)

• Preferable: Experience working with spatial information systems for scientific applications such as ARC GIS

What you will work on: 

• Develop high quality and timely data products to be used in advanced analytical, computational and experimental models in natural and engineered systems; and put safety first

• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of detailed analytical systems to ensure that outcomes from models are readily accessible 

• Collaboratively work with colleagues in delivering outcomes within agreed timeframes

• Contribute to technical support in development and review of assigned tasks to support the successful completion of projects

• Undertake formal and on the job training and participate in structured placement activities to develop skills across a broad range of areas within the WaterNSW
