Location: Burrendong Dam, Deniliquin Depot, Hunter Hub, Keepit Dam, Leeton Depot, Leeton Office, Menindee Lakes, Nepean Office, Tumut, Windamere Dam

 

We would like to provide our internal workforce the opportunity to express their interest in the role of Fire Warden.

 

This is a part time, 36-month / 3 year term opportunity where you will perform additional duties in conjunction with your existing role. Employees engaged under the WaterNSW EA will be eligible for a nominated First Aid and Fire Warden Allowance as per the agreement, commencing the pay fortnight after training completion. 

 

1x Fire Warden is required for each of the below mentioned office locations:

  • Burrendong Dam, Deniliquin Depot, Keepit Dam, Leeton Depot, Leeton Office, Menindee Lakes, Tumut, Windamere Dam

 

2x Fire Wardens are required for each of the below mentioned office locations:

  • Hunter Hub, Nepean Office

 

The Role:

 

As a Fire Warden, you will perform additional duties in conjunction with their existing role, to assist WaterNSW with ensuring our people’s safety by directing others at their designated location in an emergency or evacuation. Key accountabilities include and are subject to ongoing review and improvement:

  • Attend initial and ongoing refresher training, including an annual emergency exercise

  • Remain familiar with applicable emergency management plans and procedures for the nominated site

  • Implement the emergency response procedures for the nominated site

  • Participate in the development of WaterNSW emergency management plans as required

  • Promote effective emergency preparedness at the nominated site

 

What we are looking for:

  • Mandatory: Being located at the specific site with regular attendance working in the office

  • Favourable: Previous experience as a fire warden or first aider and/or current or expired qualifications as a fire warden or first aider
