Salary range starting from: $95,764.00 + Super
Tenure: Full Time, Permanent
What we are looking for:
A strong desire to contribute your skills and expertise to our business
Someone who is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander decent / identifies as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and is accepted as such by the community in which they were born, has lived or currently lives
A commitment to promoting and preserving Aboriginal culture and value
Undergraduate degree or Diploma of Water Industry Operations, Science, Engineering, Asset Management, or equivalent experience in an appropriate field
Competent knowledge and use of various tools including battery operated tools and general tools used in the construction industry
Awareness of and interest in natural resource management, particularly water
Computer literacy and ability to interpret data, work with specialist databases and monitor network performance.
Current NSW Drivers Licence
Desirable: Experience using Hydstra database, strong swimming ability, Boat License, row a boat/kayak, work at heights, heavy lifting, and ability in driving four-wheel drive vehicles

What you will work on:
Collect, process and manage Hydrometric surface water, groundwater and water quality monitoring data from a large remote monitoring network
Collect water quality samples as requested by internal or external stakeholders within assigned sites and in accordance with quality guidelines and relevant procedures
Install, manage and maintain monitoring equipment and infrastructure to prescribed standards
Report on the performance of water monitoring sites from telemetered/non-telemetered datasets and seek instrumentation advice to identify/resolve issues
A willingness to travel overnight to remote/isolated locations throughout NSW
Contribute to continual improvement of the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance systems, audit programs and development of work instructions and procedures.
