Location: Parramatta or anywhere in Regional NSW where we have a WaterNSW office (e.g. Albury, Dubbo, Hunter Hub)

What we are looking for:
A strong desire to contribute your skills and expertise to our business
Someone who is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent / identifies as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and is accepted as such by the community in which they were born, has lived or currently lives
A commitment to promoting and preserving Aboriginal culture and value
Qualifications in engineering, business or commercial disciplines or equivalent experience in these areas, and qualifications or equivalent experience in project management (engineering qualifications are preferred)
Extensive experience in operations, maintenance or equivalent Asset Management leadership
Knowledge of operations and maintenance processes as they relate to utility or heavy industrial infrastructure
Knowledge of Asset Management processes including maintenance, operations and Asset Planning

What you will work on:
Leadership: Provide leadership in working with WaterNSW stakeholders across all business functions and project leads to facilitate operational readiness program inputs and outputs for project development to ensure efficient and effective transition from project delivery into operations
Advocacy: Support the development of long-term effective operation and maintenance of assets delivered by major projects through understanding and advocating for WaterNSW site operational, maintenance and longer-term asset management requirements
Representation: Work as the interface between Project team personnel and WaterNSW site representatives and other SMEs across the business to efficiently facilitate the schedule of owner operator advice, reviews and inputs to support achievement of operational readiness objectives for new or modified assets to be delivered under Major Project programs
Coordination: Work with internal SMEs, Project teams and Stream Leads across WaterNSW to ensure timely, consistent and quality owner/operator advice, review and input in supporting the development and delivery of major projects and the smooth transition into operations
Assurance: Working with WaterNSW SMEs to develop and contribute to implementation of a risk-based framework to provide appropriate assurance to WaterNSW that its broad whole of asset life management requirements are addressed in the development and delivery of Major Projects
WaterNSW operates the state’s dams, capturing and storing water, and then supplying it ready for distribution – for the environment, agriculture, industry and the community. With 41 major dams and hundreds of waterways across the state, we play a vital role at the source of the state’s water, delivering two thirds of all water used in NSW.
