Program Controller (Full-Time, 18-Month Term) 

This position is open to women only applicants in pursuit of a 50% workforce participation rate for STEM and operational roles and is in line with the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).

What you’ll do: 

  • Budget Management: Develop, manage, and track program budgets, financial forecast, and spend on a monthly basis to ensure that the program expenses are tracked and remain within budgetary constraints.  

  • Financial Reporting & Assurance: Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management and program stakeholders in an accurate and timely manner in compliance with organisational reporting frameworks and standards. Prepare and manage assurance reports on the performance and assurance of program's risk/issue/change registers, schedules and cost.

  • Variance Analysis: Conduct and report on variance analysis to compare actual program costs with budgeted amounts, recommend and implement corrective actions to address any identified issues as required.

  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks associated with the program and propose and implement mitigation strategies as required. Manage and monitor financial controls to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. 

    Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with Program Managers, Directors, and other team members to align financial planning with program goals as the financial point of contact for program-related enquiries.  

 

What we are looking for:  

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, ICT and/or Project Management.

  • 8+ years proven financial management experience with demonstrated experience as a Project or Program Controller.   

  • Proven experience with commercial engagements & vendor management. 

  • Demonstrated capability and experience in managing financial and commercial end-to-end in project/program delivery.

  • Understanding and application of risk management and its role in managing project fundamentals such as time, cost, quality and safety.

  • Experience of delivery within a complex business model involving employees, customers and broader stakeholders.
