We would like to provide our internal workforce the opportunity to express their interest in the role of First Aider.
This is a part time, 36-month / 3 year term opportunity where you will perform additional duties in conjunction with your existing role. Employees engaged under the WaterNSW EA will be eligible for a nominated First Aid and Fire Warden Allowance as per the agreement, commencing the pay fortnight after training completion.
First Aiders are required for the below select locations across New South Wales where we have a WaterNSW site. If your current site is not listed, it means that we are not recruiting for First Aiders at your site at this point in time.
Note: Contingent workers or contractors that are not directly employed by WaterNSW are classed as external candidates. If contingent workers or contractors apply to this advert our internal workforce will be given first preference before considering external candidates.
The Role:
Hold and maintain a current Apply First Aid statement of attainment, renew or refresh this training every 3 years and CPR every 12 months. If you do not currently hold a First Aid certification, WaterNSW will provide the necessary training and cover the cost.
Provide first aid response in accordance with completed training and qualifications.
Take responsibility for the provision of first aid and management of medical related incidents at the nominated site, when on-site or second on scene.
Provide advice, triage and support to other first aid responders.
Undertake workplace risk assessments to determine first aid requirements as needed.
Undertake periodic inspections of first aid kits, rooms and other equipment as needed at the nominated site.
What we are looking for:
Mandatory: Being located at the specific site with regular attendance working in the office
Favourable: Previous experience as a fire warden or first aider and/or current or expired qualifications as a fire warden or first aider
