 What you’ll do: 

  • Own and maintain the enterprise digital portfolio roadmap, ensuring programs are sequenced, governed, and aligned to WaterNSW strategy.
  • Deliver accurate, timely portfolio reporting (financials, risks, benefits, schedules), leveraging the enterprise Investment Governance frameworks. Provide executive dashboards and investment insights.
  • Enforce digital governance frameworks, policies, and compliance. Oversee risk identification and mitigation across digital, cyber, and AI domains. Provide governance forums with clear recommendations and risk insights.
  • Oversee BAU and transformation delivery across PMO and digital teams. Ensure outcomes, benefits, and quality standards are achieved within scope, time, and budget. Intervene to resolve delivery risks or delays.
  • Manage technology assets and vendor contracts for compliance, performance, and value. Oversee renewals, negotiations, and integrate vendor performance into portfolio reporting.
  • Set clear expectations, drive accountability, and foster collaboration. Lead team performance, mentoring, and capability uplift in governance, delivery, and risk management.
  • Embed lessons learned and champion best practices in digital transformation, cybersecurity, AI, and risk management.


What we are looking for: 
 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, Program Management, or related discipline (postgraduate qualifications desirable).
  • Industry certifications in program/portfolio management, governance, or risk management (e.g., MSP, MoP, PRINCE2, PMI, ITIL, COBIT) highly regarded. 
  • Deep understanding of enterprise portfolio and program governance, financial management, benefits realisation & strong knowledge of digital transformation practices, including cybersecurity, data, and AI risk management. 
  • Awareness of government policy, compliance standards, and regulatory obligations in digital and technology environments.
  • Proven track record leading enterprise-scale digital transformation portfolios within complex, multi-stakeholder organisations & experience managing large vendor relationships, commercial negotiations, and technology asset portfolios.
  • Leadership experience in building and uplifting high-performing teams across PMO, risk, and technology functions. 
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence.
