What you’ll do: 

  • Lead and develop the Infrastructure Planning team to deliver high-performing, risk-informed asset plans across WaterNSW’s portfolio.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of a capital investment strategy that prioritises projects based on asset condition, criticality, risk and lifecycle cost.
  • Drive the preparation and alignment of asset management plans and associated funding and pricing submissions with regulatory and corporate requirements. 
  • Coordinate integrated planning and budgeting activities, ensuring consistent input from specialist functions and business units. 
  • Engage and influence internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, to achieve strategic infrastructure planning outcomes. 


What we are looking for: 
 

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, asset management, or other related discipline as deemed appropriate.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant Australian and international codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks applicable to water infrastructure and asset management. 
  • Proven understanding of risk management principles, including the ability to apply technical and strategic risk analysis to inform asset planning and investment prioritisation. 
  • Demonstrated understanding and practical application of project management methodologies such as PMBOK or PRINCE2, particularly in capital planning and infrastructure delivery contexts.
  • Current NSW driver’s licence.
