About the Role:

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a strategic and commercially sharp finance professional who thrives on driving change, elevating performance, and influencing critical investment decisions. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will be the organisation’s subject matter expert in investment and project governance - responsible for shaping frameworks, modernising processes, partnering and collaborating with senior executives and stakeholders to deliver robust commercial outcomes through the Investment Governance Committee. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

 

  • Lead and own investment governance and prioritisation frameworks, ensuring best-practice standards, commercial rigour, and alignment with organisational objectives. 

  • Oversee the Investment Governance Committee, with responsibility in reviewing and collating submissions, setting agendas, writing minutes, and following up on actions to ensure accountability and timely delivery. 

  • Drive capital investment planning, preparing a robust Capital Investment Plan for Board approval and linking plans to corporate strategy and regulatory allowances. 

  • Provide technical expertise in project costing and governance within a complex regulatory environment, ensuring compliance and accuracy while identifying opportunities to simplify and strengthen outcomes. 

  • Modernise systems and processes to enable data-driven decision-making and drive finance transformation initiatives. 

  • Influence senior stakeholders, including the CEO and Executive Leaders, through insights, presentations, and decision support to shape strategic investment outcomes.

Who We're Looking For:  

  • CA/CPA-qualified finance leader with proven expertise in financial modelling, investment governance, and project costing. Commercially astute, detail-driven, and thrives in change with a strong bias for action.

  • Strategic yet hands-on, resilient, and proactive - able to move seamlessly between detail and big-picture strategy to deliver results and drive meaningful change. 

  • Digitally savvy and analytical, with strong proficiency in Power BI, SAP, and MS Project, and a proven track record of modernising processes. 

  • Exceptional communicator and influencer, with proven ability in presenting complex financial issues to senior executives and non-financial audiences, including ELT and Board. 

  • Collaborative culture builder, passionate about fostering a high-performing team and aligning with a positive, results-driven environment. 

  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence
