About the Role:
This is a senior finance leadership role reporting to the Head of FP&A. You’ll play a key role in the financial strategy for the non-core segment, responsible for driving performance, governance, and transformation. Success means delivering clear financial insights, supporting growth, and ensuring decisions are based on solid analysis. It’s both strategic and hands-on - collaborating with central teams and influencing outcomes without direct reports.
What you'll do:
- Strategic Leadership: Act as CFO for the non-core segment, shaping investment priorities and responsible for driving operational excellence and financial sustainability.
- Performance Management: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to optimise outcomes. Oversee contract reviews and support the development of robust financial models, cashflow analysis, and cost frameworks for existing and new programs.
- Insight & Analysis: Deliver scenario modelling and in-depth financial analysis to inform and support executive decision-making.
- Governance & Risk: Responsible for ensuring strong investment frameworks and proactively manage financial and operational risks.
- Change & Transformation: Champion continuous improvement and support organisational transformation initiatives.
- Influence & Capability: Provide support in building financial literacy across the business and influence key decisions without formal authority.
- Commercial Impact: Drive pricing strategies, margin optimisation, and support major contract negotiations.
What You Bring:
- CA/CPA (or equivalent) and senior finance experience.
- Strong commercial acumen with hands-on contract management skills.
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, modelling, and business case development.
- Ability to influence and collaborate without direct authority.
- Proven track record in governance, risk management, and driving change.
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence.
- Desirable: Experience in regulated industries
