What you’ll do: 

  • Work closely with the Board, CEO, Executive Managers, and the General Counsel & Company Secretary on board secretariat and governance matters.
  • Undertake the role of Right to Information Officer and Privacy Contact Officer and make decisions in regard to the release of information, including under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act), requests relating to privacy and personal information, and pursuant to court and parliamentary processes.
  • Independently draft agendas and minutes, help finalise meeting papers, and prepare and send Board and Committee packs on time.
  • Maintain and improve Board processes and support the Company Secretary with charters and performance reviews.
  • Coordinate Board and Board Committee meetings, including maintaining Board calendars and workplans, overseeing meeting logistics, and liaising with Directors.
  • Triage requests for Legal Services and maintain various matter management systems for the Legal Services team and WaterNSW.
  • Support the management of the Legal Services team budget, including estimates, forecasting, reconciliation, and monitoring of all expenditure.
  • Ensure accurate and timely handling of public access (GIPA) enquiries, with support from the Business Services Officer.


What we are looking for: 
 

  • Qualification in corporate governance and company secretary administration (preferred but not 
    mandatory).
  • Proven ability to review, interpret and apply statutory requirements in the workplace.
  • Knowledge of the GIPA Act, including decision making in regard to the release of information.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance processes including meeting management and record keeping.
  • Extensive experience supporting Boards and Executives with administration and record-keeping.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence.
