What you’ll do: 

  • Develop robust, scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and integrate large-scale datasets to support AI applications and analytics models.
  • Create and manage feature stores for AI models, transform trained models into deployable APIs, and implement MLOps solutions for automation and lifecycle management.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies, privacy regulations, and security standards, maintaining procedures and documentation to support integrity, privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor daily data quality and processes, remediate operational issues, and provide advanced (level 3) incident support within agreed service levels.
  • Build and maintain databases and actuarial data marts, leveraging automation and CI/CD pipelines to enhance scalability and flexibility across datasets.
  • Research emerging data technologies, recommend innovation trials, and contribute to ongoing enhancements in data and AI practices for WaterNSW.


What we are looking for: 
 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science , e.g., Bachelor’s degree in a Management Information Systems, Information Technology/Computer Sciences field
  • Relevant intermediate/advanced Azure Data certifications
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF) for setting up data warehouses on Azure
  • Agile delivery methodologies
  • Experience in Integrating and preparing large-scale datasets for AI and ML model training
  • Experience with technologies such as Power Platform, Synapse, Azure Data Explorer, Azure Data Factory, Purview, Power BI, or similar technologies
  • Experience with modern data pipelines, data streaming, and using real time analytics tools.
  • Expertise in data modelling and ELT/ETL strategies
  • Knowledge of industry leading data quality and data protection management practices.
  • Solid understanding of data security, data classification, and access control measures
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
