 (Full time, permanent) to join our team.

What you’ll do: 

  • Ensure business decisions are supported by high-quality financial analysis and insights.
  • Deliver budgets, forecasts, and financial reports accurately and on time.
  • Deliver organisational and business unit performance analysis and reporting, with key variances, risks, and opportunities—including financial risks—clearly identified and communicated to enable proactive management and decision-making.
  • Ensure financial models are maintained and enhanced to ensure reliability and relevance for decision-making.
  • Deliver continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes and reporting, resulting in measurable efficiency and quality gains.
  • Ensure WaterNSW` s financial and business acumen is measurably strengthened as stakeholders make more informed and effective financial decisions.
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with applicable standards, policies, guidelines and safety requirements.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to a team of Financial Analysts.


What we are looking for: 
 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, business, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting principles.
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in using financial systems and analytical tools.
  • Awareness of risk management and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling, data analytics, and reporting tools (such as Power BI, TM1, D365, or similar).
  • Skilled at delivering financial insights and advice to executives and management.
  • Experienced in preparing and presenting financial information to support decision-making, with advanced business writing and communication skills.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence.
