What you’ll do: 

  • Design, build and maintain highly reliable applications that ingest, process and report on dam safety data, including structural readings, seepage, water levels and stability indicators, ensuring systems directly support the safe operation of critical assets.

 

  • Develop and manage secure, high-quality data pipelines and relational databases that handle real-world engineering and environmental data, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and availability for operational and regulatory decision-making.

 

  • Deliver solutions within a Microsoft Azure enterprise environment, confidently working with production systems, CI/CD pipelines and cloud services to ensure resilience, scalability and performance of dam safety platforms.

 

  • Work closely with dam safety engineers, asset managers and domain specialists to translate physical-world monitoring requirements into fit-for-purpose digital solutions that are practical, usable and trusted by end users.

 

  • Act as a senior technical contributor, mentoring others and influencing solution design, while challenging legacy approaches and helping shape the future digital direction and go-to-market capability for Dam Safety beyond BAU delivery.


What we are looking for: 
 

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT or a relevant field, or relevant experience in information technology  

 

  • Demonstrated hands-on development experience in C# .NET and/or Python, with a strong grasp of software development lifecycle, coding standards and production support in mission-critical environments.

 

  • Solid experience across the Azure ecosystem, including Function Apps, Logic Apps, Key Vault, Service Bus, App Services, Storage Accounts, Entra ID, Container Registry and Front Door, supported by strong Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline experience.

 

  • Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to work confidently with engineering or environmental data, understanding how physical asset behaviour translates into digital signals, insights and operational decisions.

 

  • Strong stakeholder and customer management skills
