What you’ll do: 

  • Produce high-quality financial reports and models that provide actionable insights, support effective decision-making, and consistently meet WaterNSW standards.
  • Support the preparation of corporate performance reports such as business plans and annual reports, including coordinating input from subject matter experts.
  • Maintain integrity of financial data and systems to ensure all financial information is validated, reliable, and fit for purpose.
  • Provide clear analysis of financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities to support achievement of business objectives.
  • Support the delivery of robust mechanisms for sustainability reporting and assurance requirements adopted by the business and/or mandated by shareholders or legislation inaccordance with ASSB and NSW Treasury reporting frameworks and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements in all financial activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting standards to enhance efficiency and value.


What we are looking for: 
 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, business, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial analysis, statutory and stakeholder requirements for reporting, frameworks and metrics.
  • Ability to interpret relevant legislation, regulations and accounting standards.
  • High proficiency in financial systems and analytical tools.
  • Awareness of risk management and compliance requirements.
  • Presenting complex financial information in a timely and accurate manner to provide key insights.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to deliver financial advice and insights.
  • Preparing and presenting financial information to support decision-making.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
