What you’ll do: 

  • Lead the governance and coordination of external-facing data APIs across their full lifecycle, including registration within the Enterprise Architecture registry, documentation, versioning, access control, and deprecation.

 

  • Coordinate and manage the front-end delivery of API-based data services to external customers, regulators, and partners, ensuring services are reliable, accessible, and aligned to business and regulatory needs.

 

  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and API Platform Engineers to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality data services that meet agreed service levels and customer expectations.

 

  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date catalogue of public-facing APIs, producing clear technical and user documentation to enable adoption and self-service. Ensure clear distinction between customer-facing APIs and internal-only services.

 

  • Participate in change and release management activities to ensure new or updated APIs and data services are deployed through controlled, approved, and well-communicated processes.

 


What we are looking for: 
 

  • Proficiency in API management platforms, such as Azure API Management (APIM) or equivalent enterprise API gateways.

 

  • Experience using data cataloguing tools and contributing to enterprise data discovery and self-service capabilities.

 

  • Proven experience developing, supporting, or managing RESTful APIs, particularly for secure data sharing and consumption.

 

  • Strong understanding of API lifecycle management, including design, versioning, access control, monitoring, and deprecation.

 

  • Experience delivering outcomes in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, balancing technical, business, and regulatory requirements.
