What you’ll do: 

  • Build partnerships with WaterNSW business units to understand needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Identify and resolve data gaps, evaluate potential sources, and ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Define, design, and implement analytical solutions within the enterprise architecture to meet business objectives.
  • Establish operational processes for timely and relevant data loading and maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, acceptance criteria, and support user acceptance testing.
  • Support change activities and promote effective use of data across the organisation.
  • Undertake complex and quantitative data analytics to develop analytical and predictive models and programs that complement the existing tools to derive and identify key strategic insights.


What we are looking for: 
 

  • Relevant tertiary and/or post-graduate qualifications in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management, Software Engineering, and Information Technology.
  • Minimum 3-5 years demonstrated experience in data science, data modelling, reporting and analysis and tread forecasting, problem solving, troubleshooting, system and data relationships and comfortable with handling large data set volumes.
  • Hands on experience with Python, R using Github.
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills and a high level interpersonal verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with people at all levels.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence. 
  • Highly Preferrable: Experience in developing Machine Learning and Predictive/Prescriptive Models using big data.
