What you’ll do: 

  • Lead and manage a team of Commercial Support Officers to ensure the effective execution of purchasing, invoice processing, PO monitoring, supplier onboarding, and compliance tasks in alignment with frameworks and policies.
  • Oversee and ensure the timely creation, management, and closure of Purchase Orders (POs), maintaining alignment with budget controls, financial frameworks, and the chart of accounts, while ensuring all documentation is complete.
  • Maintaining close collaboration with Accounts Payable, Contract owners and other internal stakeholders to support timely processing of requests e.g. on time payments, contract administration functions and the resolution of queries.
  • Coaching, Training & Process Development on finance and procurement platforms & processes, developing user-friendly documentation and training materials to support adoption and compliance with policies with a strong focus on the Procurement to pay lifecycle.
  • Lead process improvement: including process optimisation, procure to pay, user acceptance testing (UAT), and assisting in the rollout support for new features or updates across relevant finance and procurement platforms.
  • Act as a key liaison between finance, procurement and Portfolio stakeholders to ensure aligned processes, effective issue resolution, and delivery of consistent support service


What we are looking for: 
 

  • Relevant qualifications in Business Administration, Finance, Procurement or related field, or experienced deemed equivalent
  • Strong understanding of the procure to pay process, including purchase orders, purchase order receiving, invoicing, and supplier management.
  • Understanding of procurement policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
  • Demonstrated sound decision-making, problem-solving, and people management skills within highly dynamic, geographically dispersed and fast-paced business environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in a procurement, finance support, or commercial team leader administration role whilst implementing continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a high volume, transactional environment.
  • Track record of maintaining accurate records and documentation to support audits and reporting requirements.
  • Comfortable with uncertainty and able to adapt quickly to change whilst leveraging opportunities to explore new ideas and introduce incremental improvements.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
