About the Role:

This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in how we invest in critical infrastructure and innovation. As a leader in capital planning and governance, you’ll be responsible for influencing decisions that drive long-term value, strengthen financial stewardship, and provide support in positioning WaterNSW for governance excellence. 

The impact you will make includes:

  • Creating a unified governance approach that builds trust and consistency across all projects and teams.
  • Elevating decision-making speed and quality, ensuring capital is directed to the highest-value initiatives.
  • Positioning WaterNSW as a leader in financial stewardship, embedding strategic thinking and continuous improvement in investment planning.

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Drive and support investment governance by setting clear capital allocation principles and partnering with PMOs to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Enable smarter decisions through robust prioritisation frameworks, rigorous business case reviews, and streamlined processes
  • Leverage digital tools to modernise processes, enhance reporting, and accelerate insights for better decision-making.
  • Lead and support capital planning and oversight, managing approvals, committee governance, and actionable insights for senior stakeholders while delivering the Capital Investment Plan in line with strategy and compliance.
  • Own project costing data, responsible for ensuring accurate capture at the right level to support accountability, efficiency, and regulatory reporting.


Who We're Looking For:
 

  • CA/CPA Qualified.
  • Capital planning experience in complex, capital-intensive environments.
  • Advanced modelling skills to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Influential communicator with exceptional stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficient in Excel, Power BI, and MS Project for analysis and reporting.
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence
